Summer Vacation #1: San Diego

So the plan was go to SD & swim with sharks. Done and Done. It was great to see many of my college friends, bask in the sunshine, and enjoy the gorgeous sites.
I stopped to see Lesha in Newport with Baby Hudson & Holy Moly, the place where she works is so adorable-front porch! sigh.

La Jolla Shores/Scripps Pier beachin' it:

One of my most favorite place to go when I am in SD, the Cliffs:Contemplating..
And crazy hair because it's so windy there...

Family Adventures

Being home gives me lots of time to catch up with my ever aware high school siblings. They are teaching me: the newest "slang" words , how somehow high school this year has the hottest girls/guys than last year especially in 4th period, how to use the DVR with minimal error to avoid conflict, hot to read books aka: the twilight series, how to drive a golf cart and slide it sideways, how to ride a ripstik, how to eat the hottest chiles ever, and how to pick a garden with the ripest zucchini. It's been a great learning experience, and I am sure there is more to learn... I'm a non-student still craving the student life...when will I learn?!
A dual, RZR vs. Golf cart...
We are a parking lot in front of our house, even for an occasional plane...
I've picked up a great deal of sewing...not by choice, but by boredom.
How to make salsa the ideal way, Garrett teaches me his wisdom:
Jennie shows me how she eats with her mouth open, always:
Here's how big our zucchini can get:

Officially an RN!

So after having to sit through 6 hours and 265 questions of the NCLEX, or otherwise known as the nursing boards....I passed!! I was sooo anxious, thinking I would have to retake it and became nauseated after leaving, which later turned into loss of appetite, then lack of sleep.....then all thankfully, was subdued with a written confirmation by NY state boards. Wow, it was close...

Here's what else thats happening around these parts:
This past week we did family night monday night at Sizzler Restaurant...i was sitting on one side of a booth and my sister and brother were across from me. Then all of a sudden THUNK...the entire seat below me drops 4 inches...ppl from booths around me were staring like crazy. I got flushed, and then tried to figure out why my seat broke....was it what I ate? did i eat too much? nope, the seat just broke...i felt sheepish and attempted to fix it with my skills. so embarrassing!!

READING...who does that? not me.....or until recently. TWILIGHT series has sucked me in. I can't get my eyes out of it....I'm so hooked. I spent my entire day in bed attached to my new book. I have three more, between this and quilting, which I also don't do, who have I become in my sedentary lifestyle??? I'm worried!

I am Alive!

BAck by popular demand. I have recently been MIA since moving home and slowing down to the west coast speed that my blogging has been anything but stellar.

Here's what's been happening in my neck of the woods:
Working for the Man, aka, dad's harvesting company...here are some great shots of cows, fields, and wide open spaces:

Running with lots of bugs is also a treat. Here i sprayed this sunscreen all over me when I ran (hence the oiliness) but look closely for all the little black bugs that adhere to me in my jog around the fields in the morning, such a special treat:
Cousin's kids Bday parties. Jordi's bday and they had a bubble wrap starwars lightsaver duel. It was pretty awesome, until someone got hurt:

I got to hang out with Rochelle, my friend from Nursing school at NYU in her hometown: Venice Ca....sooo gorgeous!! Here's us on the beach and next to the canals of Venice:

Nieces! Yep, I've got to see them both since I've been here for wha....almost a month, CRAZY!! Here's Alexis and Caylee:

Pool Life, It's true, I am sort of a pool snob, I admit it:
Crazy dirt devils, check this one out. I was sitting in a scale house and bored as heck, So i decided to take pictures of nature's wonders...ahhh:
Funny postings in diarymen's scale houses: I thought these might be slightly entertaining, as I was sure thrilled while working the scale:
