Today marks my one year of employment at Johns Hopkins. It has been a whirlwind of excitement and fun. I have great co-workers and a never surprising environment to work in.

Living in Maryland has been full of surprises. I can't tell you how many nuances I've noticed by living here.
Living in Bmore...I've experienced:
-the diverse population...this really is a huge thing! :D
-crab cake lumps
-harbor with dragon paddle boats
-the rain
-adapting my language
-driving on less than ideal roads
-the DC temple
-megabus trips to NYC
-bad hair cuts
-sleepless nights from rotating schedule
-trips to the mall
-trips to sudsville to wash my laundry (which still scare me ..a little bit)
-amazing race around bmore
-the changing leaves (twice)
-several trips to BWI
-light rail adventures
-Camden Yards
-Purple lights of Bmore during Ravens season
-my fun Ward that is so chill and has amazing marriage stats
-Professional Bull Riding
-My first Derby Fair Event
Yummy Food I've had:
-Koopers Tavern for burger night
-Blue moon breakfasts
-Paper moon's eclectic atmosphere
-Golden West Cafe
-breakfast at Cafe Hon
-oh the fun Fudgery
-The Dogwood Cafe
-my first vegan food: One World Cafe
-PF Changs
Language I've heard:
"I fell out"
"I might be 405"
"Come here honey, mama know it hurt, God goin to make it all better"
"I'm hungry, I'm a fat girl and I got's to eat"
"I don't pay it no mind"
"I got out the room"
...
that's all that come to me right now, but I'm sure there are many many more!!
It's been a good year....On to another..
